Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Hype Up Toji Fushiguro Debut in Season 2


It was a truly exciting week for Jujutsu Kaisen as the first cour won Anime of the Year at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022 and brought home numerous victories at Crunchyroll's Anime Awards this year. In addition to that, it was officially confirmed that Season 2 is now in development and is expected to be released during the Winter 2023 line-up. The news certainly has fans all hyped up but most of the excitement is understandably focused on the animated debut of Toji Fushiguro! POSSIBLE SEASON 2 SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was confirmed during a special screening of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 where the voice cast was in attendance. During the event, it was announced that the second season will once again be produced by MAPPA and is expected to drop in Winter 2023. Interestingly, it was also suggested that the anime will finally cover the manga's Shibuya Incident arc which immediately had fans hyped up for Toji Fushiguro's animated debut.

In the manga, Toji Fushiguro is an assassin from the Zenin clan and, as his name suggests, the father of Megumi Fushiguro. He is known for being a Sorcerer Killer and once faced off against Satoru Gojo, almost killing him. Toji plays an important role in the Shibuya Incident arc and is going to be an exciting character to watch out for in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

For now, details about Toji's anime debut have not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, fans have already started speculating about who will provide the voice of the terrifying character.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the first few episodes are reportedly already in production at MAPPA and the second season is expected to premiere sometime between December this year and March 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
