Here's What Happened Before Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 221
In one of the most varied and intense chapters we've seen in a while, Kenjaku manipulates Kogane into altering the Culling Game once again.
Kenjaku commands Kogane to prohibit new players from entering the game. But the latter refuses as this goes against previous rules.
However, Kenjaku persuades him by threatening to destroy the purification barriers and end the game immediately. Thus threatened, Kogane complies.
Kenjaku adds another rule, that the game will end when the only players standing are Megumi Fushiguro and himself.
Elsewhere, Hana Kurusu turns out to be alive, though she's too hurt to fight anytime soon.
Unlike Sukuna, Angel cannot move to a new host. Since Hana can't fight, her role will end when she unseals Satoru Gojo.
Yuji and his allies discuss ways to rescue Megumi. Despite no longer sharing his body with Sukuna, Yuji is determined to see this fight to the end.
As we're bracing ourselves for Gojo's seal to be undone, it really feels like the endgame for Jujutsu Kaisen is near.

Reported leaks suggest that Gojo with fight against both Sukuna and Kenjaku -- and while this is quite hard to fathom in a single chapter, we're here for it!
Seeing Gojo again -- even if only in raw scans -- has given fans as much joy as Megumi's plight gave them tears, and Chapter 221 can't come out soon enough!
