Here's What Happened Before Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214
In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213, Sukuna explains his reasoning for possessing Megumi.
He mentions that he'd been intrigued by Megumi's abilities for some time and waited for him to be at his lowest in order to strike.
When Megumi realized that his sister was now a vessel for an ancient sorcerer and was likely not coming back, Sukuna found the opportunity he sought.
Sukuna believes that Megumi will be a much better vessel than Yuji, who ended up being a prison for him.
The King of Curses proceeds to attack Yuji immediately and make him vomit blood.
As Hana regains consciousness, Sukuna knows that she's an opponent to watch out for since she and Angel coexist symbiotically and thus regenerate faster.
However, Hana is so shocked by Megumi's plight that she acts recklessly. She seems to think that tearing Megumi from Sukuna soon enough will prevent further damage.
Through her ritualistic attempt to rescue Megumi, Sukuna's markings disappear from Megumi's face. However, things aren't as simple as she thought.
It turns out that Sukuna is simply exploiting Hana's innocence. When she rushes to hug Megumi, Sukuna's head becomes huge, ready to devour her.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214 will come out on February 26, 2023, in regions such as the US, the UK, and Europe. In Japan, the next chapter will be released on February 27, 2023.
Originally, the new chapter was supposed to come out a week earlier, but it was delayed.
Conversely, February 26 also happens to be creator Gege Akutami's birthday. Fans can't stop joking about this, hoping that Akutami won't try to celebrate by irreparably breaking their hearts!
