The latest JoJo manga is finally coming out later this week. To mark the momentous occasion, series creator Hirohiko Araki finally gave us our first proper look at The JOJOLands protagonist.

On Twitter, Araki shared the cover of the next Ultra Jump issue, which features the latest JoJo in his full glory.

Though before the official reveal by Araki, fans already got to see the protagonist in a series of ads in Japan.

To celebrate the new year, Araki shared a teaser of the next JoJo character in his New Year greeting on Twitter.

While that teaser already drove fans into a frenzy, this official reveal delighted fans from all over the world.

The new JoJo’s design should be familiar to series fans as he features the signature heart and star motifs of the other series protagonists.

Though many noted that his design looks more modern than the previous Joestars.

Check him out in the next Ultra Jump cover here:

Given the massive hype for Part 9, there was a fear that the new JoJo won’t live up to the expectations. Though that fear quickly went away as fans responded positively to the new design.

On Twitter, lots of fans expressed their excitement to see this new JoJo in action.

Meanwhile, fans on Reddit praised the new JoJo’s outfit for being cool while still being practical (at least compared to the other JoJos' outfits).

What’s funny is that we still don’t know much about this new character as we don’t even know his name.

However, Araki did confirm before that the new JoJo is a descendant of Joseph Joestar.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 9: The JOJOLands Release Date

The previous part was JoJolion, and its run ended back in August 2021.

Before, the gap between parts was only a year or less in length, but the hiatus between Parts 8 and 9 is now the longest in the series.

Fans may have waited a bit longer, but finally, Part 9 will debut in the next Ultra Jump issue, which will be released in Japan on February 17.

Right now though, there’s no word yet on whether the manga will get a simultaneous release in English outside Japan.

The chances aren’t high though, especially as Steel Ball Run and JoJolion have yet to be translated officially.

In the meantime, fans outside Japan can watch seasons of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime on Netflix as Stone Ocean recently concluded its run.
