There are already two John Wick spin-offs in production but Chad Stahelski has at least one more idea for the franchise's future. The John Wick: Chapter 4 director says he wants to bring back Halle Berry as Sofia Al-Azwar.

Chad Stahelski Planning John Wick Spin-Off Focusing on Halle Berry's Sofia

Chad Stahelski was recently a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience where he was asked if there are any plans for a spin-off following Halle Berry's character from the third John Wick movie (via Collider). Not surprisingly, Stahelski admitted it was something they have been considering for a while now.

"Yeah. We have actually been in talks several times to try to... I hate the term spinoff," Stahelski said.

"But they are trying to do other satellite projects off the Wick franchise. Hopefully, they'll be good ones," he added.

Halle Berry was introduced as Sofia Al-Azwar in 2019's John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The character is a former assassin who now serves as the manager of The Continental in Casablanca.

In the film, it was confirmed that Sofia had a debt to John who rescued her daughter and put the child in hiding. Although Berry only appeared briefly in John Wick 3, viewers were intrigued by her character and had been wanting to see more of her in the future.

For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether Sofia will get her own spin-off project. Nevertheless, John Wick fans are keeping their fingers crossed that there will be more of Halle Berry's character in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

In the meantime, there are two John Wick spin-offs that are already set for release. The limited series The Continental: From the World of John Wick is already set to premiere on Peacock later this year and the film Ballerina will hit theaters sometime in 2024.
