John Wick: The Continental Gets Funky Action-Packed Teaser

It's finally here. The first teaser for The Continental: From the World of John Wick has just been dropped and it offers a glimpse at the funky blood-spattered world of assassins back in the gritty 1970s.

The new teaser for the John Wick spin-off series was shared by Peacock, which also confirmed that its official title will be The Continental: From the World of John Wick. In the teaser, we get to see the New York Continental Hotel as it was in the 1970s. As expected, the hotel serves assassins who are always packing big weapons and killer looks.

There's a lot to see in the teaser but also a lack of familiar faces. We get to see Colin Woodell as the young Winston Scott and a smaller glimpse at Ayomide Adegun as the young Charon. So far, the only character we can identify is The Adjudicator who is played by Katie McGrath.

The Continental will serve as a prequel to the John Wick film series and will feature film veteran Mel Gibson as Cormac. The cast also includes Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, Ben Robson, Peter Greene, Jeremy Bobb, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi, and Marina Mazepa.

The Continental is only the first of many John Wick spin-offs. It was previously reported that Ana de Armas will star in Ballerina, a new series that will focus on Rooney, the ballerina-assassin first introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 who was originally played by Unity Phelan. Ballerina will follow Rooney as she seeks revenge for the death of her family.

Peacock has not yet given The Continental: From the World of John Wick an official release date. However, the new teaser confirms that the series is now expected to premiere on the streaming service in September 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
