Jennifer Aniston has not been in a relationship for three years. There is no indication that she’s in a rush to date a guy, but Aniston recently admitted that she’s ready for love.
“No one of importance has hit my radar yet. But I think it's—I think it's time. I think I'm ready to share myself with another,” she said.
The Friends star added that she wants to meet a guy organically, so she has no plans to use dating apps. Aniston doesn’t also like to be set up by her friends.
Jennifer Aniston Inspired By Courteney Cox, Demi Moore
National Enquirer, in its Jan. 3 issue, claimed that Aniston recently had a change of heart when it comes to her preference. And she now wants to date younger men like John Mayer.
An unnamed source said that Aniston’s friends, Demi Moore and Courteney Cox inspired her to go down this route because they too are dating much younger men.
“Courteney and Demi have really opened her eyes and made her realize younger guys are the way to go. They’re more fun, appreciative, and in better shape than most guys her age,” the unnamed source said.
Jennifer Aniston Wants To Get Back Together With John Mayer
Since Aniston already dated Mayer before, she wants to see if they can have a second chance at love.
“Jen’s always considered him the one she let getaway. They’ve been spending time together while she’s helping him get on a healthy diet. His age was a problem back in the day, but now she appreciates the fact he can bring a little vitality back into her life. She’d love to make it a rerun romance,” the unnamed source concluded.
Earlier this month, there were similar rumors claiming that Aniston wants to revisit her connection with Mayer because the latter has become more mature.
“John is leading this ultra-healthy lifestyle right now and he’s crediting the tips Jen’s been giving him for being a part of that. She’s happy to help but what she really wants is to revisit that hot chemistry they had. Jen’s always said that John is hands-down the guy who rocked her world physically more than anyone else ever has,” an unnamed source said.
The unnamed source added that Aniston and Mayer have been texting and talking nonstop and they’re confident that their rekindled connection can lead to something more.
As of late, there’s no indication that Aniston and Mayer want to get back together. But what’s confirmed is that there is no bad blood between the two despite all the things that the singer said about the actress.
John Mayer Shades Jennifer Aniston After Their Split
Shortly after their split, Mayer made some chide comments about The Morning Show actress. And he seemingly made a dig at Aniston’s age.
“I’ll always be sorry that it didn’t last. In some ways, I wish I could be with her. But I can’t change the fact that I need to be 32. If Jennifer Aniston knows how to use BitTorrent, I’ll eat my [expletive] shoe,” he said.
Mayer also said that their different approaches when it comes to technology caused tension in their short-lived romance.
“One of the most significant differences between us was that I was tweeting. There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn’t it, but that was a big difference. The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she’s still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction,” Mayer said.
Jennifer Aniston Wasn’t Offended By John Mayer’s Comments
Aniston later reacted to Mayer’s comments during her interview with Vogue. But at the time, the actress already made it clear that she wasn’t offended.
“He had to put that out there that he broke up with me. And especially because it’s me. It’s not just some girl he’s dating. I get it. We’re human. And it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is a wonderful guy. We care about each other. It’s funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, we maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It’s painful,” Aniston said.

John Mayer Issues An Apology To Jennifer Lopez
Two years ago, Mayer said that he should stop being so raw during his interviews. After all, he was accused of shading not just Aniston but the other women that he dated as well.
“It started as an attempt to not let the waves of criticism get to me, but it's gotten out of hand and I've created somewhat of a monster. I wanted to be a blues guitar player. And a singer. And a songwriter. Not a shock jock. I don't have the stomach for it,” he said.
