Jennifer Aniston recently surprised her fans when she said that she’s finally ready to date. It’s been four years since Aniston’s last relationship, and the Friends star stayed single by choice. Prior to her divorce from Justin Theroux in 2018, she also dated Brad Pitt, but their marriage didn’t last very long.
As of late, Jennifer Aniston is still single. But The Morning Show star is suddenly being linked to one of her ex-boyfriends: John Mayer.
Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer Think They Should Get Back Together
Star, in its Dec. 13 issue, claimed that Aniston wants to try dating Mayer again after the singer took a couple of years to mature. The “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer previously said that their age difference became a factor in their split.
Mayer has also, allegedly, been relying on Aniston for health and wellness tips.
“John is leading this ultra-healthy lifestyle right now and he’s crediting the tips Jen’s been giving him for being a part of that. She’s happy to help but what she really wants is to revisit that hot chemistry they had. Jen’s always said that John is hands-down the guy who rocked her world physically more than anyone else ever has,” an unnamed source said.
John Mayer Wants To Show Jennifer Aniston How Much He’s Changed
Globe, in its Dec. 13 issue, published a similar story about Aniston and Mayer. But the publication added another layer to their claims.
A second source claimed that Mayer wanted to show Aniston just how much mature he has become that’s why he invited her to his holiday party.
The singer also, allegedly, promised Aniston that she will be treated like a VIP.
“They’re talking and texting plenty and Jen’s quietly optimistic it’ll lead to more,” the second source said.
John Mayer Dissed Jennifer Aniston Following Their Split
During an interview with Playboy, Mayer said that he would always be sorry that his relationship with Aniston didn’t last. However, there are some things he couldn’t change including his age. The singer was 32 when she dated the actress.
“One of the most significant differences between us was that I was tweeting. There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn’t it, but that was a big difference. The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she’s still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction,” Mayer said.

Jennifer Aniston Called John Mayer A Wonderful Guy
Aniston, on the other hand, had a more civil approach when she talked about her split from Mayer.
While speaking with Vogue, the actress acknowledged that her ex-boyfriend had the need to be the one to tell the world about their split.
“He had to put that out there that he broke up with me. And especially because it’s me. It’s not just some girl he’s dating. I get it. We’re human. And it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is a wonderful guy. We care about each other. It’s funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, we maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It’s painful,” Aniston said.
Years after their split, Aniston, and Mayer have not directly expressed any desire to get back together.
