Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry have been friends for years. The A-listers previously starred in Friends, and they maintained their close bond even after the hit sitcom wrapped up.

Perry and Jennifer Aniston recently reunited for the Friends Reunion Special alongside Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow. And the one-off episode was such a huge hit among Friends fans.

Jennifer Aniston Worried About Matthew Perry’s Upcoming Memoir

New Idea, in its Nov. 15 issue, claimed that Perry and Aniston’s close relationship was just all for show. So, when The Morning Show actress found out that Perry signed a seven-figure book deal, she couldn’t help but worry.

Since Aniston and Perry worked together for years on the set of Friends, the actor reportedly knows his co-star’s secrets. Perry also knows all the details of Aniston’s failed relationship with Brad Pitt.

“He might not remember the three years on that show, but he knows everyone’s secrets and who really did get to kiss Jennifer Aniston in the dressing room. Then there was a time he wanted to punch Brad Pitt’s pretty face for hurting Jen,” an unnamed source claimed.

Other than Aniston, Cox is also worried about what the actor could reveal about her personal life in his memoir. After all, Perry has no plans to hold back.

Perry is also, allegedly, ready to talk about his relationship with LeBlanc, with who he never got along. But in Friends, Perry and LeBlanc played the role of best friends.

Matthew Perry Will Talk About His Addiction In His Memoir

The actor, who previously battled alcohol and drug addiction, will also talk about his darkest years. During a previous interview, Perry revealed that he crashed his Porsche because he was heavily intoxicated. However, the incident still didn’t stop him from drinking.

“All things considered, he is lucky to be alive. He knows his story can help others and a memoir is a way of bringing humor into something very serious and potentially saving lives for those who have gone through a similar situation,” the unnamed source explained.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Perry signed a lucrative deal with Flatiron Books, a division of publisher MacMillan. The actor’s untitled memoir will be released sometime next year.

Publisher Megan Lynch teased Perry’s upcoming memoir via Vanity Fair.

“We need humor, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something – and Matthew’s extraordinary story, told in his inimitable voice, is that thing. Matthew’s book has unrivaled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanizing right now, a time of isolation and division,” she said.

Perry will indeed talk about his time on Friends, as well as his battle with addiction. However, it’s unlikely for him to focus on Aniston and Pitt’s failed marriage because this is not his story to tell.

Jennifer Aniston Has Always Been Supportive Of Matthew Perry

Despite the claims made by the publication, there’s also no proof that Aniston and Perry’s close relationship was all for show. In fact, the actress showed her support for Perry during an interview with Today.

“I didn’t understand the level of anxiety and self-torture [that] was put on Matthew Perry if he didn’t get that laugh, and the devastation that he felt, which makes a lot of sense,” Aniston said.

The actress’s statement was her response to Perry’s revelation that he felt like he was going to die if live audiences didn’t laugh at his jokes during his time in Friends.

“It’s not healthy, for sure, but I would sometimes say a line and they wouldn’t laugh and I would sweat and just go into convulsions if I didn’t get the laugh I was supposed to get. I would freak out,” he said.
