National Enquirer, in its upcoming Nov. 15, 2021 issue, reported that Michelle Obama has been encouraging former U.S. president Barack Obama into cozying up to Bruce Springsteen. The publication reported that the ex-FLOTUS wants her husband to be inspired by the hitmaker to admit his own personal mistakes.

It was claimed that Barack and Bruce first met in 2008 when the latter performed at a campaign rally organized for the former senator’s first run for the White House. The “Dancing in the Dark” singer has been very vocal about his battles with depression, including his therapy that lasted decades.

After meeting Bruce, Barack Obama shared Michelle Obama told him that he needs to spend more time with the singer. The former FLOTUS reportedly told Barack:

“You know, you need to spend more time with Bruce. He understands his failings and flaws as a man and you don’t seem to understand as well just exactly how messed up you are.”

National Enquirer reported Michelle Obama has been “blunt” about her relationship with Barack that she once said:

“There were times that I wanted to push Barack out of the window.”

Barack Obama, for his part, claimed his candid conversations with Bruce Springsteen about living as outsiders for years inspired their joint podcast title “Renegades: Born in the USA.” The tabloid added the former U.S. President can now admit that Michelle Obama is the boss in their household.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama is set to have an exclusive conversation about her memoir titled Becoming with students from participating colleges nationwide. The event called “Becoming: Michelle Obama in Conversation” will be streamed on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 12 p.m. CST from Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland.

Harvard student and “Grownish” star Yara Shahidi would moderate the said talk. It was also announced that watch events would be held at Tisch Commons in Danforth University Center and Risa Commons on the South 40. Community members may register to view the event by Friday, Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m. here.

Many consider Michelle Obama as an early and important role model, especially to the people of color community. The ex-FLOTUS published her memoir in 2018, which detailed her experiences from childhood in Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of work and motherhood, to her time spent being the First Lady of the United States.
