James Gunn and Other MCU Directors Were in a Secret Meeting

No one is sure about the MCU's future after Avengers 4 comes out. In fact, no one knows what Avengers 4 will be about, aside from the fact that it's the sequel to Infinity War and will deal with the aftermath of that film's tragic ending. While we do know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will be coming out sometime after, we don't know how they will come to be.

Thanks to a recent Q and A on Twitter, we now know that James Gunn and a number of other MCU directors have been discussing the future of Marvel post-Avengers 4.

Gunn first revealed that there was a secret Marvel meeting on his Instagram Story, so it was smart of him to have a Q and A soon after. The Guardians of the Galaxy director was soon asked about the people he saw and he mentions Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

When asked if Avengers 4 was discussed, Gunn confirmed that it was since but didn't give out any details. Considering how the future of the MCU hinges on that film, it only makes sense that it was brought up as a talking point.

Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
