Who Is Yuuka Tanahashi in The Foolish Angel Dances With the Devil?
In The Foolish Angel Dances With the Devil Episode 3, Lily and Akutsu were hanging out in a café together when all of a sudden Hirota Kensaku appeared.
He was giving off jealous vibes to Lily and Akutsu, in the belief that the two were out on a date.
Lily and Akutsu asked Hirota to join them to clarify their situation. That’s when Yuuka (Yuka in some translations) Tanahashi appeared to scold Hirota.
She is a bob-haired girl with a mole under her eye, and she is not one to mess around with.
In fact, Yuuka immediately insulted Lily after learning about her. She called Lily a shrimp, not to mention a grade-schooler, due to her height. She doesn’t like Lily at all because she considers her a love rival to Hirota.
Yuuka claims that she is Hirota’s girlfriend, even though they’re only childhood friends. She has been pushing herself into Hirota throughout the years but to no avail.
Hirota, on the other hand, has no interest in dating Yuuka due to various reasons he can’t say. When asked about dating Yuuka, Hirota’s life force was seen draining out of him.
Poor Yuuka; she has to try harder to get Hirota to like her!
Is Yuuka Tanahashi a Devil in The Foolish Angel Dances With the Devil?
While Yuuka gives off some sort of villainous vibe to Lily, she is not a devil at all. She is a completely normal human who is not aware of the true identity of Lily and Akutsu as angels and devils.
Just because Yuuka has a very competitive and aggressive personality doesn’t mean that she is a devil.
While most devils are out to do something bad in the human realm, Yuuka is a human who doesn't want to engage in villainous acts unless her love and affection for Hirota are involved.
Besides, Akutsu can sense devils near him, but he can’t sense anything when Yuuka is hanging out with them.
He's more likely to believe Hirota is a devil than Yuuka, who loves her childhood friend above all else.
