Is WandaVision Bad or Just Boring? Here’s What People Think According to Twitter

Is WandaVision worth watching? The series just dropped today on Disney+ and there is a lot of controversy around the release. Fan's have been eagerly awaiting the first Marvel Studios production since Spider-Man Far From Home released almost two years ago.

The series controversially released the first two-episode premiere in black and white. It features the characters Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). WandaVision takes place after the events of Avengers Endgame (how is Vision still alive?).

In the first and second episodes, WandaVision emulates the 50s era of golden television with cheesy gimmicks and one-liners.

Early critic reviews have been positive, with a Rotten Tomatoes debut at 100%; however, many Marvel fans on Twitter have been reacting quite differently than critics.

In fact, some of the leading search terms on google include, "WandaVision is bad", "not good", "trash", and more.

While some are finding WandaVision boring, many are excited about the show breaking boundaries and taking risks. Many fans of Pleasantville and the nostalgia of the 50s are pleased with what the MCU has created.

So is WandaVision amazing, good, bad, or boring? It depends on who you are. After watching the series myself, I can say I was a bit bored at times, although I did find the show entertaining. There's some comedy gold in the first few episodes, but it is very cheesy and 50s style.

It is very much different than what most MCU fans will be used to. In an MCU filled with Russo Brothers action sequences, WandaVision is a slow-paced story-driven show that unravels its mysteries piece by piece.

WandaVision is a show for someone who enjoys the Marvel Universe but also is interested in the bygone eras of television and wand a casual and pleasant viewing experience. It's a show to relax and enjoy- at least at this point. Those looking for high flying superhero action may have the wrong expectations. The trailers do accurately portray what the show is about and the style and substance of the show.

The series is canon to the MCU and will have repercussions on the rest of the Marvel Universe.

WandaVision is not expected to release on DVD or Blu-ray; however, if you have a high-speed internet connection it may be possible to watch in 4K quality on Disney Plus.
