If girl power is what you’re looking for, you’re in it for an empowering movie led by Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel 2 is about to arrive in the MCU and she would be joined by Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau with powers fresh from WandaVision, and a newcomer who would be having her own show, Kamala Khan, as Ms. Marvel. All three would star The Marvels, however, is it delayed? What is its status and when is the new release date?
Is Captain Marvel 2 Delayed?
Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels has been affected by the sudden shift in the schedule which has been announced by Disney recently. The first film to have its release date pushed back is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, followed by Thor: Love and Thunder, then Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, until the last one to move, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Originally scheduled for release on November 11, 2022, that schedule will now be for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels will now be scheduled for release on February 17, 2023, kicking off Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania to a later date of June 28, 2023. Luckily, for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, their schedule would not more and they still hold the May 5, 2023 release.
Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels will be featuring the return of Carol Danvers and she would be joined by the daughter of her best friend, Monica Rambeau, who just got her powers in WandaVision after going through the Hex created by Wanda around Westview, and by an avid fan of hers, Kamala Khan, who would be debuting as Ms. Marvel in her own show on Disney Plus.

Currently, Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels is under production and filming.
Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels will have its release in theaters on February 17, 2023.
