How Batman v Superman’s Lex Luthor Could Really Be In Suicide Squad

Back in February, prior to the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, rumors of the appearance of Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in Suicide Squad have already run rampant. At the time, a Lex Luthor toy in an orange jumpsuit and chains was spotted at this year's Toy Fair. It was then speculated that a Lex in chains might appear in the Arkham Asylum in Suicide Squad.

Of course, now we know that Lex was placed in jail by the end of Batman v Superman, so that toy could simply be referring to the character as seen in the movie.

However, there's a new report saying that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex could really be making a cameo in Suicide Squad.

According to Comic Book Movie.com, the Batman v Superman extended edition shows a longer version of Batman and Lex Luthor's final moments in the movie, where the crazed billionaire confesses that he knows Batman's real identity. Batman still wins the dialogue, and the Dark Knight mentions his arrangements for Lex to be transferred to the Arkham Asylum, which doesn't suit Lex at all.

There's certainly a lot of potential characters whom Lex could be crossing paths with in the asylum, which would be a rather fun scene for audiences.

While this cameo is certainly possible, it's worth noting that Jesse Eisenberg has mentioned back in March that he isn't sure of his character's return to the DC Extended Universe. In any case, it's likely that we'll be seeing Lex Luthor in the Justice League movies since the released Batman v Superman deleted scene back in March showed a hint of Darkseid. Honestly, it would be more interesting to see our DC heroes getting more challenged with Lex's presence around.

With Warner Bros. going all out with Suicide Squad, I wouldn't be surprised if they'll put in as much exciting cameos as they can in the movie.
