Henry Cavill Reveals Why He Reprised His Role as Sherlock in Enola Holmes 2

Henry Cavill will be reprising his role as the famous detective in the sequel, Enola Holmes 2 with Millie Bobby Brown as the titular character. The actor reveals why he came back as Sherlock as he said he wants to set a tone for the franchise.

Famous for playing the roles of Superman and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series, Henry Cavill plays a totally different role in Enola Holmes as Sherlock, the brother of the titular character, and in a chat with Total Film, as reported by Games Radar, Cavill reveals why he returned for the role in the sequel.

Henry Cavill revealed the reason why he came back to play Sherlock in Enola Holmes 2, "It's important to get things right. It's important to make sure the tone of things is not lost in the potential excitement of franchises and universes."

Cavill also shares that he enjoys working with Millie Bobby Brown, "It would be very exciting to continue playing the character, and to continue working with Millie. But that's in the hands of the gods, as they say. I'll be waiting in the wings for the opportunity."

Henry Cavill plays the famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his sister, Enola, is trying to outgrow his shadow and establish a name of her own given that even when she put up her own detective firm, people are still looking for her brother.

Knowing what it feels like to be alone and ignored, Enola will be getting into a dangerous adventure as she looks for a missing girl who found something that could put her life in peril.

Based on the book of Nancy Springer titled The Enola Holmes Mysteries, Enola Holmes 2 will be the sequel to the 2020 film which is directed by Harry Bradbeer and written by Jack Thorne starring Millie Bobbie Brown as the titular character.

Henry Cavill reprises his role as Sherlock Holmes and joining the cast are Louis Partridge as Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Viscount Tewkesbury, Adeel Akhtar as Lestrade, Susie Wokoma as Edith, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, David Thewlis, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Serranna Su-Ling Bliss, and Gabriel Tierney.
