Hawkeye Early Rating Isn't As Promising As Previous Marvel Shows


Hawkeye was released just in time for the holidays, however, the Christmas vibes of its early ratings are not quite there as it is not as promising as that of the previous Marvel shows. It is relatively lower and even with a “Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes, the reactions on the first two episodes are mixed.

Hawkeye released two episodes on its premiere which sets up the entirety of the show and even beyond its six episodes as there are Easter eggs for the future of the MCU. It is not as engaging, to say the least, but it is enough groundwork to show what the series will be about and what happens next. Necessary characters already made their appearances and those who are highly anticipated are about to arrive in a few days.

However, early ratings of the series show that it is not as promising as the Marvel shows released in the past. As reported by Deadline, Samba TV released the latest streaming viewership stats which spans over 3 million households. Hawkeye is far behind Loki that for the first episode, it is 40% lower with only 1.5 million viewers as compared to Loki’s 2.5 million viewers.

Currently, Disney Plus has a total of 118.1 million around the world, and considering the numbers of Hawkeye, the rating is not looking good as it is still behind WandaVision which has 1.6. million households and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with 1.8 million.

Jeremy Renner returns as Hawkeye with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Tony Dalton as Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Echo/ Maya Lopez, and Zach McClarnon as William Lopez. Florence Pugh will be reprising her role as Yelena Belova after her debut in Black Widow. Oh, and Lucky the Pizza dog will also be part of the cast.

Hawkeye Episode 3 will be released on December 1, 2021, at 3 AM EST exclusively on Disney Plus available in 4k. It has six episodes in total and it will be released weekly. It has been given the TV-14 rating and some scenes may not be suitable for children.
