What Happened in Hawkeye Episode 1?
In Hawkeye Episode 1, Never Meet Your Heroes, it starts with Kate Bishop as a young girl back in 2012 with her parents. They live in a penthouse suit across the Stark tower and such was an unfortunate time to be living in the said area as the Battle of New York ensued at the same time. Kate’s home was damaged by the Chitauri army and she was saved by Hawkeye from afar.
Kate’s father did not survive the attack and was among the many casualties of the said event. From then on, she swore to protect what is left of her family and she asked for a bow and arrow from her mother. She got her black belt by 15 years old and even had various sports won such as fencing and gymnastics.
In the present day, Kate damaged a bell tower in her school causing her credit cards to be frozen by her mother. While she apologized, her mother invited her to some charity event wherein, she found out later on, that her mother is engaged to one Jack Duquesne. She learned the information from Armand III, uncle of Jack.
Snooping around, Kate learned of a black-market auction in the same event venue where the retractable sword of Ronin was one of the items and the suit as well. However, when it was time to auction off the suit, a group of robbers attacked the place, and to save herself, she put on the Ronin suit and stood her ground fighting the Tracksuit Mafia.
Kate showed how formidable a fighter she is and to top it all off, she saved a dog from being hit by a car. She took the dog under her care and left it in her apartment eating pizza.
Meanwhile, Clint Barton was attending the Rogers: The Musical in New York City, one he cannot even finish as the story is not as accurate and it showed that he is still not over the death of Nat. He and his kids went off to dinner where they enjoyed a meal on the house as a way of gratitude to him being a hero who did so much to save everyone from the blip.
Back at the hotel, he saw on the news that someone is donning the Ronin suit he used to wear. It was revealed that Ronin cleared the streets of New York by eradicating the criminal underground during the years when people were still not blipped back.
Kate Bishop is on the run as she is suspicious of Armand III. She tracked him but when she arrived, he was already dead. She left before anyone could see her and along the way, the Tracksuit mafia followed her. Just in time to save the day was Clint Barton and he was surprised that a kid is wearing his Ronin suit.
What Happened in Hawkeye Episode 2?
In Hawkeye Episode 2, Hide and Seek, Clint and Kate are avoiding everyone and they proceed to the apartment of Kate where the dog she saved was. Being a huge fan of Hawkeye, Kate asked so many questions but all he had was how she got the suit and if she is safe. Being a rookie, Kate got followed by the Tracksuit mafia who threw Molotov cocktails in her apartment causing a fire and they left the Ronin suit there.
They holed up in an apartment Kate knew as her aunt would be out for the holidays. She stayed there while Clint went back for the suit only to find out that it has been taken. Looking further, he saw the suit online worn by a member of the NYC LARPers.
The next day, Kate went to her mother’s office to ask her questions but Jack was there. She was invited for dinner and her condition was that she prepares the conversations for that night. As for Hawkeye, he went to the NYC LARPers where he found out that LARP means Live-Action Role Play and the one having the suit was there. He had to go through all the weirdness just to have the suit back.
At dinner, Kate interrogated Jack to the point that they discussed swords and got into fencing. Kate noticed that Jack was lying and she pushed him out into the truth through fencing. When Jack asked if she wanted candy, she recognized it as one which is from the house of the deceased Armand III. She hurriedly left and contacted Hawkeye.
Meanwhile, Hawkeye seemingly surrendered himself to the Tracksuit mafia and he was brought to an abandoned arcade. While he was being interrogated, he consistently denied who Kate was but the stubborn Kate tracked him and tried to be a hero only to fall short and have both of them tied into kiddie rides.

There were a lot of things that happened in the first two episodes and here are some of the theories as to the show. It is possible that it is Jack Duquesne who is responsible for the death of Armand III but knowing Marvel, it will surely be someone who isn’t that easy to predict. Others are looking into the chance that it might even be Eleanor who is behind all the attacks.
Whether Echo plays the good guy or the bad depends on the next few episodes but in the comics, she is the first to be the Ronin before Clint got it. Will she be a friend or a foe? More than that, she is connected to Kingpin. Will she be the way of William Fisk to come into the MCU?
