Haikyu!! Announces 2 Final Anime Films

The Haikyu!! anime will be back with two new movies. The series is set to conclude with the two Haikyu!! Final films instead of a fifth season.

It was previously confirmed that Haikyu!! is teasing new content with a timer that was set to end after the Haikyu!! x V.League Allstar Special Match The Volleyball event. Although it was initially believed that the timer is for the announcement of Haikyu!! Season 5, it has since been revealed the timer was leading to the films being announced.

In celebration of the new movies, a teaser for Haikyu!! Final has been released. Check it out below.

The two Haikyu!! Final films have not yet been given official release dates. However, it looks like we'll have to wait at least another year. Following the movies' announcement, it was revealed that the films will have a special kick-off event on August 2023.

The two-part film will serve as the conclusion of the Haikyu!! anime series. At this point, it is unlikely that the show will still get a fifth season.

Haikyu!! is based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate. It follows Shoyo Hinata, a young boy who is determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. The anime premiered in April 2014 and has lasted four seasons with the last one concluding in December 2020.

Fans have long believed that Haikyu!! will get a fifth and final season that was only delayed due to COVID-19. However, the final arc of the series will now be two major theatrical events that is expected to rival the movie releases of other anime franchises.

For now, the two-part Haikyu!! Final has not been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
