Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: James Gunn Shares BTS Look at Rocket, Lylla, Teefs, and Floor

There is little doubt that Rocket's friends were awesome yet tragic additions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and it looks like the voice actors playing the High Evolutionary's creations got to bond in real life. James Gunn has shared a behind-the-scenes look at how Rocket, Lylla, Teefs, and Floor filmed their scenes.

James Gunn has been actively sharing updates on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on his Twitter account. One popular post features the voice actors playing Lylla, Teefs, and Floor hanging out with Sean Gunn, who provides the motion capture for Rocket.

The image confirms that Linda Cardellini, Asim Chaudhry, and Mikaela Hoover all provided the motion capture for Lylla, Teefs, and Floor, respectively. It's an adorable confirmation that working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was never boring for the cast.

Lylla the Otter's debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was a welcome one but it also retconned the character's initial cameo in the 2014 film. In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Rocket's Xandrian rap sheet listed some known associates and the list actually included Lylla.

The film suggests that she was a space bandit just like Rocket Raccoon. However, Vol. 3 has completely changed that.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it is revealed that Lylla was one of the High Evolutionary's creations who became friends with Rocket. But just as Rocket was setting them all free, the villain showed up and shot Lylla.

Lylla's death meant she never got to be a space bandit like Rocket. Although Lylla, Teefs, and Floor never got to enjoy multiple adventures across the galaxy, the dream they shared finally came true for Rocket who longed to be reunited with his friends.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is still screening in theaters worldwide.
