Former Transformers Actor Shia LaBeouf Addresses FKA Twigs Abuse Allegations


Shia LaBeouf has broken his silence on the abuse allegations filed by musician FKA Twigs. The former Transformers star that he "hurt that woman" for being "a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being."

On Friday, Shia LaBeouf spoke to Jon Bernthal on the latter's Real Ones podcast (via Instagram). During the conversation, the Holes actor finally opened up about the abuse allegations filed by FKA Twigs in 2020.

“I hurt that woman,” LaBeouf said. “And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”

“I f-cked up bad. Like crash and burn type sh-t. [I] hurt a lot of people, and I’m fully aware of that. And I’m going to owe for the rest of my life,” he added.

LaBeouf didn't mention any names but it was clear that he was referring to FKA Twigs, who brought allegations against him in 2020.

The musician, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, spoke out about LaBeouf’s sexual battery and fostering of an abusive relationship in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. She also discussed the abuse in an interview with the New York Times.

Shia LaBeouf dated FKA Twigs for a year after the pair met on the set of the 2019 film Honey Boy in which he starred.

According to the lawsuit, the musician accused LaBeouf of “relentless abuse” and of inflicting emotional distress. In addition to that, FKA Twigs alleged that LaBeouf knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease while they were in a relationship between 2018 and 2019.

LaBeouf starred in three Transformers movies. He also played Henry "Mutt Williams" Jones III in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
