Ezra Miller Confirmed Doing Own Stunts, The Flash Director Reveals

During the DC Studios panel at CinemaCon 2023, The Flash director Andy Muschietti confirmed that the DC film star Ezra Miller did their own stunts.

Considering The Flash is the DC hero’s first solo film and is set to begin the new chapter slate DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have been planning out, the director praised Miller’s hard work on set.

“[Ezra Miller is] an incredible actor and [represented] the chance to work with one of the best actors that I’ve ever worked with,” he said (via The Hollywood Reporter).

“I discovered they are an incredible comedian and also [handled] all the action required for a big spectacle like this.” Muschietti added, “They wanted to do all the stunts and I let them.”

The CinemaCon 2023 also featured a second official trailer for The Flash, in which we see more scenes of Miller’s titular hero and Michael Keaton’s Batman. You can check out below:

Seeing as The Flash focuses more on time traveling and multiverse-jumping, the action-packed trailer says it all: we’re in for a treat.

This was actually one of the improvements the crew members did amid The Flash experiencing many previous release date delays, and that’s for the betterment of the film’s final output.

“We have worked solidly on The Flash for almost four years…” producer Barbara Muschietti said, “The pandemic allowed us to have a longer development.”

Barbara added: “And on the other side of shooting, it allowed us to have the time to explore visual effects like never before.”

The official plot for The Flash centers around Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) traveling back in time to prevent the murder of his mother, which, unbeknownst to him, causes a turmoil in the timeline.

This little endeavor results in the creation of a multiverse where he has to deal with his other versions he has never seen before.

DC Studios’ The Flash arrives in theaters on June 16. You can check out more details about the DC film here.
