As the Eternals finally dropped its first-ever full trailer, fans are feeling the hype with what the film has in store as it introduces age-old beings with various abilities that people are bowing down to them treating them as gods. In one specific scene where three Eternals are seemingly connecting, are they summoning the Uni-Mind? What is it and will it be in the movie?

What is the Uni-Mind in Eternals?

In a scene where Sersi, Druig, and Makkari are floating in mid-air with golden energy flowing through them, they seem to be linking to each other and performing some sort of ritual. In the comics, it takes at least three Eternals to merge each other and form the Uni-Mind, also known as the Intellect, wherein they could combine their physical and mental state into one being, one which could reach the Celestials, their creators.

The Uni-Mind is an immensely powerful psionic entity that is considered by the Celestials to be their greatest gift to their creation, the Eternals. It knows no gender nor race, it is made of pure energy, light, and mind. Usually, it is the Prime Eternal who can summon the said ritual and start the connection to form the Uni-Mind.

It holds various abilities such as cosmic awareness, divine powers, flight, casting illusions, forcefield creations, blast powers, invulnerability and near-immortality, intellect, psionic energy, superhuman strength and stamina, agility, telekinesis, and telepathy. It only proves that when Eternals come together to will the Uni-Mind, they are as if unstoppable making the most powerful Eternal in the Universe with the combination of at least three of them.

Will the Uni-Mind be in the Eternals Movie?

In the comics, Sersi, Makkari, Druig, and Thena became human and when they were attacked in a party they were attending, they subconsciously linked to each other forming a minor Uni-Mind which gave them back their abilities as Eternals.

In the scene found in the trailer, it is Sersi, Makkari, and Druig who seemed to connect. This could be a summoning of the Uni-Mind like that in the comics. Although the scene does not show Thena, nor Ikaris who is the current Prime Eternal, the Uni-Mind may also be making its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the same film.

Also, knowing that Sersi is the lead character in the film, the same plot of being reduced to human could appear in the film as well. We see her get married to Ikaris and yet knowing that in the comics, she had an amorous connection with Dane Whitman, the Black Knight, it is likely that this path would also be taken by the film and the Uni-Mind could be the way of getting her Eternal abilities back.

Do you think the Uni-Mind will be in the movie? Find out when Marvel's Eternals premiere on November 5, 2021 in its theatrical release.
