Just when everyone thought we've seen it all in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, out comes Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's WandaVision to break the norm and deliver us arguably the most intriguing and interesting MCU project to date.

I'm pretty sure most of you are all aware by now that the spinoff series will have a groundbreaking new treatment no other superhero or comic book project has done before. WandaVision will take place in six different decades — kicking off in the '50s up to the present-day and each decade will be presented in sitcom form.

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Olsen unveiled an exclusive clip from the show and it's endearingly goofy. The short clip sees Wanda and Vision living their suburban life in the '50s and it features nods to classic sitcoms like the Dick Van Dyke Show and Bewitched. You may be weirded out by it at first glance but it totally has that "it factor". Check it out here:

According to Elizabeth, the show's sitcom bits may look out of place at first, but they aren't just there to make WandaVision look fun and unique. The comedic sequences actually play a significant part in the events that will transpire and it will all unfold as the episodes drop.

The official synopsis for WandaVision reads:

Marvel Studios' WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

I don't know about you but I'm totally digging the series' overall vibe. Although they're just taking elements from classic sitcoms, the show still comes across as something new and refreshing and I gotta say, it's the fitting start to the MCU's Phase 4.

WandaVision premieres this January 15 on Disney+.
