EA CFO Teases ‘A Lot’ of Characters From New Star Wars Films in Battlefront 2

Though Star Wars Battlefront offered Star Wars fans mesmerizingly beautiful graphics and great attention to detail, gamers found the game lacking in terms of gaming options and campaigns. Setting out to give gamers a Star Wars videogame that they deserve, Electronic Arts and DICE have been promising a "much bigger" game for Star Wars Battlefront II.

Recently, at the Morgan Stanley Technolgy, Media & Telecom Conference, EA CFO Black Jorgensen reassured fans that the videogame developers would be keeping to their promise, saying that Battlefront 2 would be "dramatically larger" than its predecessor.

A report of the conference via ScreenRant also reveals that Jorgensen had promised that The Battlefront sequel would have a lot of new characters from the new Star Wars movies, possibly those from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. It's also likely that the game could take more characters from Star Wars: Episode 9.

The Star Wars franchise has a vast universe to play in, and EA and DICE can definitely use that to its full extent in creating Star Wars Battlefront II, especially if a story mode and single player campaign were to be added into the sequel. The only concern fans have over this massive content to draw from is the possibility of the studio's abusing skimping on the base game to add the "vastness" of the game through pricey DLCs. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best.

No concrete information on the game has been released yet however more details are expected during April's Star Wars Celebration Orlando.
