Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Shares an Exciting New Look at Black Adam in a Magazine Cover

An exciting new look at Black Adam has been shared by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on his official Twitter page with the anti-hero’s eyes glowing yellow in a magazine cover for the December issue of Total Film, pumping up fans for his upcoming movie.

The post he shared has some wise words from his character along with a picture of himself, hooded and with some fiery yellow in his eyes, "You're right. Superheroes don't kill bad people. But I do. – Black Adam. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is changing." Johnson is seemingly teasing how powerful his antihero would be

Black Adam has been in the works for decades and is finally having the chance to grace the screens in the upcoming film. Black Adam originally went by the name of Teth-Adam in the comics and he was given by the gods powers making him the Mighty Adam. Black Adam liberated his people in Kahndaq and ruled with his own definition of justice.

Black Adam went on to be the judge, jury, and executioner to his people to protect them and keep an eye on them. Because of this, he was imprisoned by the gods who gave his powers saying that he abused what has been given to him.

The film will be set 5000 years later after Black Adam breaks free from his purgatory and as one of the most powerful characters in DCEU, he won’t likely be thrilled to learn that someone else was vested by the gods the power that he had. He is set to be the nemesis of Shazam.

Before coming out in his solo movie, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be on another DC project wherein he will voice Krypto the Superdog in the upcoming DC League of Super-Pets which will be out two months before Black Adam on May 20, 2022.

The film was originally scheduled to be released in late 2021 but due to the pandemic, Black Adam has been scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
