Black Adam Star Dwayne Johnson Underestimates Zachary Levi's Shazam

One of the biggest news that came out of the second DC FanDome was the release of Black Adam's long-awaited teaser. A lot of you may not be aware of this astonishing fact but the project has been in developmental hell for over a decade and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has always been attached to it. Thankfully, the stars finally aligned, and quite frankly, the timing couldn't have been any better because the DC Extended Universe sure needs a hell of a boost.

Now that the Man in Black is on his way to the DCEU, fans are excited to see him go toe-to-toe with his arch-rival in the comics Shazam and obviously, it's only a matter of time before the two superpowered beings have a titanic clash. However, not a lot of people see Zachary Levi as a credible threat for the former wrestling superstar, and turns out, the "Great One" feels the same way.

A few months before his grand arrival to the DC film franchise, The Rock is already planting the seeds for his eventual face-off against Zachary Levi's Big Red Cheese. When Twitter user @MoviesThatMaher took to the social media platform to ask fans what Shazam would do during his colossal fight with Black Adam, Johnson took the opportunity to throw shade at his soon-to-be co-star. Dropping the F-bomb on the Earth's Mightiest Mortal, he responded: "Not a f*cking thing."

Zachary Levi would definitely benefit from working with arguably the biggest Hollywood and box office draw right now and if anything, the pressure is definitely on Levi's side to deliver. Of course, you simply cannot underestimate Shazam because despite his goofy and childlike facade, he's easily one of the most powerful beings in the DCEU. I'm really looking forward to their eventual clash.

Black Adam is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
