It's official: Dr. Stone: New World is coming this April. A new trailer for Dr. Stone Season 3 has just been dropped and it reveals the anime is finally returning next month.
Dr. Stone: New World Release Date Revealed, Season 3 Confirmed For April
The new Dr. Stone Season 3 trailer was shared by TOHO Animation and it shows Byakuya Ishigami leaving something for future scientists and it doesn't take long before his adopted son finds it and thanks him. Senku Ishigami then declares that the Kingdom of Science will be able to invent a machine that can produce revival fluid if they find enough platinum.
In addition to revealing some cool new footage from Dr. Stone Season 3, the trailer also previews the Huwie Ishizaki song Wasure Gataki. The track is set to be the new theme for the anime.
What Happens In Dr. Stone Season 3?
Dr. Stone: New World will take place immediately after the events in the special episode Ryusui which introduced Ryusui Nanami. With Ryusui now a part of his group, Senku and the Kingdom of Science are determined to explore new territories and discover new ways to rebuild civilization.
The third season of Dr. Stone will bring back Yusuke Kobayashi as Senku Ishigami, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Oki, Manami Numakura as Kohaku, Ryota Suzuki as Ryusui Nanami, Karin Takahashi as Suika, Kengo Kawanishi as Gen Asagiri, and Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa. Maaya Sakamoto will also join the cast as Francois.
Dr. Stone: New World will be directed by Shuhei Matsushita with Yuichiro Kido in charge of series composition and script. Yuko Iwasa serves as character designer while Shunichiro Yoshihara and Jin Aketagawa return as Art Director and Sound Director, respectively. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Tatsuya Kato, and Yuki Kanesaka are in charge of music.
Dr. Stone Season 3 will finally premiere on April 6, 2023.
