Ncuti Gatwa is set to be the first gay Doctor on Doctor Who and as he joins the long-running BBC series, his official look as the Fifteenth Doctor has been unveiled by "that blue phone box show," and he looks dope in his brown ensemble!
The arrival of Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor comes near as his first look has been revealed by BBC on Twitter for Doctor Who, and he will surely make a mark being the very first gay Doctor to be in the long-running series. In another image, he is with Millie Gibson who plays Ruby Sunday.
In a separate post on Twitter, it shows the behind-the-scenes of the photoshoot of Ncuti Gatwa's first look images, and he is rocking that brown ensemble at a parking lot with the caption, "That lewk," with stars emojis. Millie Gibson is also serving her looks as Ruby Sunday.
Not to mistake him as the Fourteenth Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa is actually the Fifteenth Doctor despite entering into the role after the exit of Jodie Whittaker who was the Thirteenth Doctor. Other than being the first gay Doctor, Gatwa is also the first black lead actor in the series.
Jodie Whittaker regenerated into the Tenth Doctor, thus, the regeneration counts as one. David Tennant is, confusingly, the Fourteenth Doctor, who wildly messed the numbers up. He will be playing the doctor for the 60th-anniversary specials of Doctor Who, thus, he's the Fourteenth Doctor.
Ncuti Gatwa is best known for his role as Eric Effiong in the Netflix series, Sex Education, where he will also be reprising his role for the fourth season. Gatwa is also poised to join Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the upcoming Barbie movie.
Doctor Who Season 14 is set to premiere in 2024. The 60th-anniversary specials of Doctor Who comes first in 2023. The previous seasons of the long-running series are all available to stream on HBO Max.
