We're still a few months away from the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film is already generating a ton of buzz online, all thanks to the film's official trailer which made its debut during Super Bowl LV. Apart from the OMG moments it delivered, the internet-breaking footage pretty much confirmed several rumors and theories that have been the subject of debate amongst MCU fans since last year.

A particular scene in the trailer that made everyone lose their minds is the one that sees Stephen Strange be taken to the Illuminati headquarters, all shackled and surrounded by a group of what looks to be Ultron bots. Now, if the scene looks oddly familiar to you, it's because the concept artwork where the sequence drew inspiration actually leaked last year.

The said leak first made its rounds last October and features Strange surrounded by Ultron bots as he was being interrogated by Professor X. As cool as it was, most fans were naturally skeptical of the image and thought it was too good to be true. Well, apparently, that's not the case. Check it out below:

For the longest time, we were all led to believe that the MCU, Fox, and Sony Marvel properties will never co-exist but thanks to the multiverse concept, everything seemingly became a reality all of a sudden. Of course, it's still a little too early to tell if Doctor Strange 2 will be able to live up to its predecessor Spider-Man: No Way Home but the odds are definitely in Sam Raimi's corner.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
