Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry have always been close. So, when the Duke of Sussex expressed his desire to quit his royal duties, his grandmother gave him her blessing to pursue whatever it is that he wants to do. However, Prince Harry’s decision to quit his duties and start a new life in America also meant that he would no longer be under the Queen’s wing.
Queen Elizabeth Wants To Protect Prince Harry, Archie, And Lilibet
According to New Idea, Queen Elizabeth is worried about her grandson after learning that his family experienced security breaches while Archie and Lilibet were at home in Montecito. In fact, the incident wasn’t an isolated case.
Reports revealed that the Sussexes experienced at least six security incidents in 14 months. And within a span of just two weeks, the couple dealt with two trespassers, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
A source for New Idea claimed that despite everything that’s happened, the Queen is still very protective of her grandson and great-grandchildren. As such, the monarch is allegedly encouraging the Duke of Sussex to just return to the United Kingdom so that she can provide his family with the security that he needs.
“Despite it all, Harry is still her grandson and her number one concern is his safety. Her Majesty is stunned to learn that they insist on continuing to live in America when their security is quite clearly under threat – she wants them to think of how this might be affecting the children. The Queen is between a rock and a hard place there because as much as she wants Harry to feel comfortable when he’s home, it is quite improper for a non-working royal to have taxpayer-funded guards. But it’s clear that in America, the Sussexes aren’t safe. So she’s willing to put all their unresolved issues aside and bring them home to Balmoral for a little break,” the source said.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Not Keen To Accept Queen Elizabeth’s Offer?
The insider added that Prince Harry and Markle seem reluctant to accept the Queen’s offer right now, but Her Majesty is urging them to consider it. After all, the Queen believes that having the Duke and Duchess of Sussex under the roof will be beneficial for them. And it can also help them deal with their issues.
However, an official palace spokesperson has not confirmed or denied the publication’s claims. But it seems unlikely for the Queen to encourage Prince Harry and Markle to return to the United Kingdom. After all, she previously accepted their decision to relocate to the United States.
Prince Harry Calls The United States His Home For Now
During his interview ahead of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry told Hoda Kotb that he considers Montecito as his home for now. However, the dad of two also suggested that anything can happen in due time.
“You know, home—home for me, now, is, you know, for the time being, in the states. We’ve been welcomed with open arms. We’ve got such a great community up in Santa Barbara,” he said (via Town & Country).
