Demon Slayer Season 2 Possibly Teased Unexpected Detail About Season 3

Fans are already gearing up for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 now that the anime is confirmed for a third season. But is it possible that the recent season finale already teased what will happen next? There are speculations that the Swordsmith Village arc is not the only story arc that will be adapted in the next season.

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 18, the Demon Slayer Corps finally defeated Daki and Gyutaro but suffered life-threatening injuries. Luckily, Nezuko managed to burn away the poison from Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen, effectively saving their lives. Once everyone is out of harm's way, another Hashira arrived at the scene.

Iguro Obanai somehow found his way to Yoshiwara and confronted the injured Tengen, berating the Sound Hashira for losing an eye and a hand to an Upper Rank Six, the lowest rank in the current Twelve Kizuki line-up. This is when Tengen tells Obanai that he is retiring but Obanai says it isn't possible since the Corps is still looking for someone to replace Kyojuro Rengoku and can't afford to have another sidelined Hashira.

Obanai further points out that the trainees are dying young but Tengen tells him he is wrong by confirming that Tanjiro survived the fight against the Upper Rank demons.

It's a scene that confirms how the young Demon Slayers have what it takes to go up against the Twelve Kizuki and fans believe the dialogue is hyping up the future in Demon Slayer Season 3. Although it has been confirmed that the third season will adapt the Swordsmith Village arc, there are speculations that the second cour will cover the Hashira Training arc.

For now, details about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
