Demon Slayer Celebrates Valentine's With Adorable New Key Art

The third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is still a few weeks away but the franchise gave fans an awesome treat before its premiere. A new key art featuring the women of Demon Slayer has been dropped in celebration of Valentine's Day.

The official English language Demon Slayer Twitter account posted the key art on Valentine's Day. The illustration features Nezuko, Shinobu, Aoi, Kanao, and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji who will play a major role in Season 3. They are joined by the demon Daki and Uzui's wives Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma. As per Japanese tradition, the women are all holding chocolates for their Valentine.

In Japan, girls give chocolates to boys they like, classmates, or co-workers. A month later, on March 14, the men return the favor by giving chocolates as gifts. In the case of Demon Slayer, it's certainly a fitting gesture as the third season is set to premiere sometime in April.

Demon Slayer Season 3 will adapt the Swordsmith Village arc of the Koyoharu Gotouge manga. In this story arc, Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko will work without their companions Inosuke and Zenitsu as they head for the Swordsmith Village. In the manga, the siblings get help from the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji. In addition to that, they are joined by fellow Demon Slayer Genya Shinazugawa.

The third season of Demon Slayer was officially announced soon after Season 2 concluded. Although fans were hoping that the anime would return in 2022, ufotable's production took longer than expected. Luckily, the wait for Season 3 is almost over and people can finally catch up with Tanjiro and Nezuko this April.

Demon Slayer Season 3 is also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village. It is currently set to premiere in April 2023.
