For the past few months, we've been seeing a lot of casting rumors for Deadpool 3 since insiders have claimed that the upcoming MCU film will be in the vein of Spider-Man: No Way Home as it is set to feature more actors from the Fox Marvel movies aside from Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner.
So far, the people behind the film remain mum about the casting rumors that have surfaced around the web although director Shawn Leavy teased in a recent interview that some of them are true.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that whoever shows up from the long list of beloved characters from the Fox Marvel movies that we may see pop up in the film will garner huge reactions from fans similar to how they responded when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returned.
Now, another name has been added to the rumor mill as a new scoop has suggested that a fan-favorite character from Jackman's previous film as Wolverine may pop up for a special appearance.
Logan Star Dafne Keen Was Reportedly In Talks to Appear in Deadpool 3
According to insider @CanWeGetToast on X, prior to the actors' strike, Marvel Studios was in negotiations with Logan star Dafne Keen to make a cameo appearance as a grown-up X-23 in Deadpool 3.
They are hoping that the schedule will be able to line up once the strike ends since production for the film was halfway done when it was temporarily shut down.
So far, Marvel Studios has not commented yet on the rumor and we might not hear any update about this until the strike ends.
If Keen does end up showing up in the film even for just a cameo, it will be a great treat for fans especially if she will share a scene together with Jackman and it could be a tender moment since Logan will be able to see his protege grow up.
Her appearance could also address how the film will handle Jackman's return as Wolverine despite his death in Logan years ago or it could simply just be a multiverse explanation which is an easier fix for them story-wise.

The possibility of Keen making a cameo appearance in the film is definitely exciting for fans and let's wait and see if it will end up happening once we see the final results.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
