There has been a lot of excitement for Deadpool 3. Not only it will feature the Ryan Reynolds hero joining the MCU, but he will also team up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who is returning in the role. Some fans have been wondering about what the story will be and how it will all connect to the MCU considering that they're in different universes as far as we know.

In a recent interview with Radio Andy on SiriusXM (via The Direct), Jackman discussed his upcoming involvement in Deadpool 3 where he revealed that the story of the film will involve a time travel device that will keep the plot going without affecting what they've done in Logan.

"But then I just put it aside and I was like, 'No, no I'm done.' And then we made Logan and I was super happy with it," he said. "But all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines now we can go back, because, you know, it's science. And so I don't have to screw with the Logan timeline which was important to me, and I think probably to the fans too."

The Wolverine actor also explained why he decided to play Wolverine again in Deadpool 3 even though Logan was already set to be his final film in the role.

"If I'm really honest, I'd announced Logan was my last and then I went to see the Deadpool movie and I was 20 minutes in and I was like, 'Curses!' All I could see that whole movie was - first of all I loved the movie - but all I could see was Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy in 48 Hrs.," he continued.

"And I was like 'This is something I haven't done with the character. That's the kind of dynamic we haven't had before.'"

It is interesting to hear that the film will involve time travel which is not surprising at this point since it seems to be the only way for Reynolds' Deadpool to be integrated into the main MCU and considering that it will feature Wolverine, who is supposed to have died in Logan.

It would be curious to see how this will all come together and it is also exciting how they'll play with the Deadpool/Wolverine partnership which is surely going to be fun to see.
