Here's What Happened Before Chainsaw Man Season 2 Episode 1
In Chainsaw Man Episode 12, Himeno saves the day, though she's no longer with us.
While Aki is struggling to free himself from the Ghost Devil, he remembers his time with Himeno, and how she told him that the Ghost Devil can only sense fear.
Memories of Himeno calm Aki down, enough for him to let go of his fear and defeat the Ghost Devil.
Akane then attempts to attack Aki with the Snake Devil, but Kobeni appears and holds Akane at gunpoint.
When Aki asks why Kobeni didn't quit her job with Public Safety after everything that's happened, she replies that their bonuses are coming soon.
While Power fights off the zombies, Denji has an epic fight with Katana Man on top of a train.
He manages to defeat Katana Man with a chainsaw growing from his leg.
Denji then invites Aki to take turns kicking Katana Man as revenge for killing Himeno. After some reluctance, Aki accepts.
Akane is taken into custody but the Snake Devil kills her before she can be questioned and reveal more about the Gun Devil.
However, the parts of Gun Devil's flesh found in the building will help Public Safety locate the devil, eventually.
Aki, Power, and Denji have a wonderful day together, which culminated with Denji falling asleep and dreaming about a door, which Pochita warns him not to open.
As if that wasn't enough good content already, the episode's finale introduces Reze, teasing the Bomb Girl arc for Season 2.

Here's the Release Date of Chainsaw Man Season 2 Episode 1
Chainsaw Man Season 2 Episode 1 doesn't have a release date yet. However, the creators seem to be intent on a second season as soon as possible as they've already cast a voice actor for Reze.
Normally, second seasons for very popular titles can be expected within two years, but we'll keep you updated when more specific information is revealed.
