In Chainsaw Man, Akane Sawatari's Snake Devil defeated Himeno's Ghost Devil.

It all began with the Katana Man's vendetta against Denji. Before being hired by Makima, Denji fought the Zombie Devil, who had made a deal with the yakuza group that was sucking him dry.

Denji's grandfather is a member of the mafia who has been transformed into a zombie, which Denji has ripped and shredded into pieces.

As a result, Katana Man developed a strong dislike for Denji and decided to join forces with Akane Sawatari, a former civilian devil hunter.

The Katana Man unexpectedly appeared in a restaurant in front of Denji, Himeno, Power, and the others one day. The Katana Man begins lecturing them on a person's tastes and mentions his grandfather's death.

Katana Man then pulled out his gun and shot Denji, Aki, and Himeno all at the same time. Himeno, unlike Denji and Aki, suffered serious injuries.

Himeno is indeed dead in Chainsaw Man.

She lost a lot of blood after being shot by Katana Man. Even after everything that had happened to her, Himeno considered saving her friends, particularly Aki, who had been fighting the Katana Man valiantly.

Himeno had no choice but to offer her entire body to the Ghost Devil in order to save Aki. Himeno's offer was gladly accepted by the Ghost Devil, who devoured her entire body.

Her efforts, however, are cut short when Akane Sawatari's Snake Devil appears, only to swallow the Ghost Devil whole.

Before Himeno disappeared, she managed to pull Denji's chainsaw cord, allowing him to fight in her place and save everyone.

In the end, all that was left of Himeno were her clothes on the ground.

As of writing, there are no known ways for Himeno to return to Chainsaw Man. She will remain dead in the series for the time being. The Ghost Devil, on the other hand, is a different story.

Nonetheless, Himeno appeared in the manga's later events when Aki fought the Snake Devil.

At this point, the Snake Devil has full control of the Ghost Devil. However, the Ghost Devil motivated Aki and gave him an opportunity to decapitate the Snake Devil by giving him a cigarette that had the words "Easy Revenge" on it.

It turned out to be the cigarette Aki had previously given Himeno.

Finally, Aki and Denji defeated both the Snake Devil and Katana Man. In honor of Himeno, they decided to kick his groin in turns.
