The latest Chainsaw Man episode may not be as shocking as the previous episodes, but it still delighted fans with the appearance of a fan favorite. Shortly after the proper appearance of Kishibe, Chainsaw Man fans began comparing him to Mads Mikkelsen.
While this comparison might not be new for manga readers, Kishibe and Mads comparisons have taken over #chainsawman on Twitter, with many sharing edits and fan art of the renowned Danish actor as the strongest devil hunter.
Kishibe Makes a Splash in Episode 10
Episode 10 isn’t the first appearance of Kishibe in the anime though as he appeared in a flashback with Himeno.
Though now, Kishibe is seen in the present as he begins his brutal training of Denji and Power.
After Makima’s Special Division 4 was nearly wiped out, she took Denji and Power to Kishibe who claims to be the strongest devil hunter in Public Safety.
He is tasked to train the duo as they will soon have to face stronger foes.
Kishibe quickly proves that he’s one of the strongest devil hunters as he easily overpowers both Denji and Power. He continues killing (or at least nearly killing them) for a day.
Denji and Power respond by beginning Operation Super Smart as they try to ambush Kishibe, though they were defeated because of Kishibe’s incredible power.
Kishibe’s impressive skills against the duo delighted fans, with many also loving the fact that he’s voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, the popular voice actor who also plays the role of Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kishibe Compared to Mads Mikkelsen
At this point in the story, Kishibe is a grizzled veteran in his early 50s. His looks, coupled with his raspy voice and impressive moves made him an easy fan favorite.
These also prompted comparisons between him and Mads Mikkelsen.
Specifically, many fans think that Kishibe looks a lot like Mads, the Danish actor who is best known for playing the titular character in the Hannibal TV series.
Their penchant for smoking and general demeanor is also said to be similar.
Aside from fan art of Mads as Kishibe, there are also those who hope to see a Chainsaw Man live-action adaptation with Mads playing him.
As the anime continues, expect to see more Kishibe discussions and fan art.
