Following its initial announcement back in June, Cygames and P.A. Works have released the first trailer, release date, and key visual for Akiba Maid War. Shortly after its release, the trailer went viral for its censored scenes.
The new trailer was uploaded on the official Cygames YouTube channel, and it featured some censored scenes which mean the series likely won’t be safe for work.

Akiba Maid War Release Date, Info
While the principal cast and staff have been announced, Cygames and P.A. Works have yet to reveal an official synopsis for the anime. Though the official website does have some info about the characters.
The series will follow a group of maids in an Akihabara maid café. These maids include Nagomi Kazuhira who is presumably the main character who moves to Tokyo to fulfill her dream of becoming a cute Akihabara maid.
She is joined by former Akiba maid Ranko Kazutoshi, popular gyaru maid Shiipon, and twin-tailed ace maid Yumechi. Also playing a role is the maids’ manager who has yet to be named.
This upcoming anime is an original work, meaning it’s not based on an existing manga or light novel. Though it is interesting as it is produced by Cygames, a video game development studio that’s known for Granblue Fantasy and Shadowverse.
Meanwhile, P.A. Works is an anime studio that's known for working on anime such as Angel Beats, Shirobako, and Ya Boy Kongming.
Akiba Maid War is set to release in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV starting October 6, 2022. Right now, there’s no word yet on an international release.
