Thanks to the cute art style, loveable characters, and educational content, Cells at Work! is a popular franchise globally.

Though it’s fair to say that its popularity was boosted massively by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure studio David Production’s anime.

While there’s no word yet on a new anime season and even with the original manga having ended in 2021, Cells at Work! continues to be popular thanks in large part to the various spin-offs that have been released over the years.

One of the most popular spin-offs is Cells at Work! Code Black.

Unlike the original series which is set inside a normal human body, Code Black is set in an unhealthy man’s body.

Moreover, the manga proved popular enough to get its own anime series.

Aside from Code Black, there are 10 other manga spin-offs that have been released over the years.

Soon, there will be two more that fans can look forward to.

The first of the latest spin-offs is Cells at Work! Cat. While no story details have been revealed, it’s likely that the series will explore the inner workings of a cat’s body.

This is supported by the series’ key visual which features a red blood cell with cat ears and a tail.

If this is indeed the case, then this will be the first spin-off that won’t be set inside a human body.

Meanwhile, the other spin-off is titled Cells at Work! Medicine and its visual depicts the red blood cell from the original series holding a capsule and a tablet.

This might mean the other spin-off will see the return of AE3803, though fans will have to wait and see.

It won’t be a long wait though as the new Cells at Work! spin-offs will begin serialization in Monthly Shonen Sirius on May 25, 2023.
