Marvel Studios continues to prove that it is the gift that keeps on giving. Following the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's grand finale which generated quite the buzz online, it was later announced that a fourth Captain America film is now in the works to be headlined by the new star-spangled man Sam Wilson. The film will potentially pick up where the first season of TFATWS left off, potentially shutting down any chance for a Season 2 renewal.
Naturally, rumors have already circulated all over the internet regarding the project's plot and according to the latest reports, the project will feature at least 4 different versions of Captain America but it'll be interesting to see if they'll all come from the same universe. So far, aside from Sam Wilson and John Walker, Bucky Barnes and Eli Bradley could potentially take on the mantle in the film.
Now, a new Patreon report from insider Daniel Richtman claims that one of the Caps who will be featured in the film will be a female version of the character. Richtman didn't exactly go into detail about the identity of the character but those who have knowledge of the Marvel comics are well aware that there are several iterations of female Cap. For now, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
It's worth noting that America Chavez aka Miss America will make her MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness so it's pretty safe to assume at this point that she'll end up in Captain America 4. Another possible candidate could be Sharon Carter who also briefly became Cap in the comics but given the fact that she took a villainous turn in the hit Disney+ series, she'll definitely be an odd choice as female Cap for sure but then again, a redemption story could always pan out for her.
