The closing moments of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's latest episode made a lot of jaws drop and it may have finally solidified John Walker as the show's true villain. Episode 4 fulfills the ongoing fan theories surrounding the new Captain America and how he ends up injecting himself with the super-soldier serum. For the initiated, the series has revolved so far around Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes trying to uncover the mystery behind the sudden resurgence of the said serums used by the rebellious Flag Smashers.

Going back to John Walker, he's undoubtedly more enhanced now that the serum courses through his veins but it's also evident that the formula is slowly corrupting his mind, much like what happened with Bucky and all the other super-soldiers that have existed. Well, except of course for Steve Rogers.

Following Episode 4, John Walker would once again be the talk of the Twitter world as more and more fans grow resentful of the character, especially after he killed one of the Flag Smashers using Cap's vibranium shield. Naturally, this led a lot of fans to compare him to the "original" Captain America and it's clear that the entire fandom wants Rogers to come back. Check out the reactions below:

Steve's status is still unclear to this point but a lot of people are under the impression that he actually died after Avengers: Endgame. Now, whether or not he actually returns in the series remains to be seen but I gotta say, we could totally use the real Captain America now, and as selfish as it may sound, I wish Rogers was still around.

The latest episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
