Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been living in California since 2020 after the couple decided to step down as working senior royals. Now that the Sussexes are in the U.S., does the Duke of Sussex now have the right to vote?

Prince Harry revealed he has never been able to vote in his “entire” after joining the call on Americans to register ahead of the November 2020 U.S. presidential election. So, why he hasn’t voted yet?

Prince Harry Hasn't Experienced Voting Yet

During his first joint TV appearance with his wife for a broadcast special for 2020 TIME 100 last year, the duke admitted he couldn’t vote in the U.S., and he hadn’t been able to vote in the U.K. either.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Criticized for Sharing Political Point of View

After the Sussexes did the broadcast, they started to receive criticism. Expressing their political views and getting involved in politics, in general, is said to be “frowned upon” for members of the royal family.

People started asking Queen Elizabeth back then to revoke the former actress’ royal title after encouraging Americans to vote.

Piers Morgan, famously known as the Duchess of Sussex’s critic, and two other U.K. politicians criticized the former Suits star saying non-voters were “complicit.” However, she didn’t say anything about her personal political point of view.

"They can't remain as royals & spout off about foreign elections in such a brazenly partisan way," Morgan tweeted.

The British journalist also called out Prince Harry for speaking about American politics, considering he isn’t a U.S. citizen.

"Prince Harry poking his woke nose into the U.S. election & effectively telling Americans to vote against President Trump is completely unacceptable behavior for a member of the Royal Family," he also posted.
