Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex, she was famous for playing the role of Rachel Zane in Suits, opposite Patrick J. Adams' Mike Ross. So, how are these two today?

Meghan made her last appearance in the show in April 2018, the same year she tied the knot with Prince Harry. Since then, she and Adams have built their own lives with their respective partners, with the actor marrying Troian Bellisario. So, are they still friends?

Meghan Markle and Patrick Adams Have Known Each Other Before Suits

Meghan and Adams had known each other before they made the NBC series.

The former actress told Female First, via The Things, that they first met when they did the pilot for ABC's Good Behavior.

So, she was excited when she learned they would do Suits together.

"When I tested for this role and found out that he was Mike Ross I was instantly happy because I knew that we had a great on-screen chemistry for the project that we had done before," she said. "Besides the fact that he is a complete gentleman and charming as well as being easy on the eye."

How's Meghan Markle and Patrick Adams' Relationship Today?

After Meghan left Suits and married Prince Harry, her relationship with Adams and the rest of the show's cast might have changed, but they have remained friends.

According to USA Network, she invited most of them to her 2018 royal wedding, and everyone attended. They even stood up for Meghan when her relationship with the royal family began, and the U.K. media started to get strained.

"From day one, she was an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive member of our television family. She remained that person and colleague as fame, prestige and power accrued," Adams tweeted in her defense in 2021. "It sickened me to read the endless racist, slanderous, clickbaiting vitriol spewed in her direction from all manner of media across the UK and the world but I also knew that Meghan was stronger than people realized or understood, and they would regret underestimating her."

Abigail Spencer, who played Dana Scott, also defended her in a post on Instagram, saying, "She’s modeled nothing but generous professionalism on sets and an even more generous friendship in private.”

Meghan Markle and Patrick Adams No Longer Often in Touch

Sadly, Meghan and Adams are not often communicating with each other as of late. In fact, the Canadian star admitted he has been hesitant to call his former co-star.

“Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated,” he told Radio Times. He, too, knew that she had a lot on her plate, though he remained hopeful that they would get together again soon.
