During an event, Prince Louis couldn’t stay put in his seat, so Prince William encouraged him to go to his grandfather. Prince Louis immediately approached Prince Charles, and the future king cradled the 4-year-old on his lap. The Duchess of Cornwall grinned after seeing the special moment between the two.
Camilla also shared a special moment with Princess Charlotte when the 7-year-old randomly looked into her grandmother’s bag during their carriage ride. Camilla Parker Bowles Vowed Never To Get Her Ears Pierced
During a recent interview with reporters, the Duchess of Cornwall shared some details about her upcoming 75th birthday. She said that it was quite strange that she had already outlived her mother, who passed away at the age of 72.
“I let them come and go. I mean, I’d be very happy to turn back the clock. When you get to any big number, whether it’s 30, 50, 70, you think: ‘God, that’s so old,’” she said (via Express).
When asked if she had something special planned for her birthday, Camilla said that she will be having a simple celebration with her family and friends. And by the looks of it, Camilla’s grandchildren might be there to celebrate with her.
Camilla Parker Bowles Details Her Relationship With Her Biological Grandchildren
Speaking of her grandkids, Camilla revealed that she could be a spoiler at times. But even if this is the case, there’s one thing she vowed never to do even if her grandkids asked her to: get her ears pierced.
“The nice thing about being a grandmother is that you can spoil them occasionally, give them more of the things that their parents forbid them to have. The girls are beginning to get into clothes and make-up and, you know, it’s rather frightening when you see them, coming out with pierced ears and a lot of new make-up and funny-colored hair and stuff,” she said.
Camilla also said that she wouldn’t give herself an ear piercing as a 75th birthday present.
“They are not going to be! No, I’m not going to give it to myself for a 75th birthday present,” she said.
Throughout the past couple of years, Camilla has shared a thing or two about her grandchildren. She previously told British Vogue that her granddaughter Lola is a huge fan of Wordle.
“I do Wordle every day with my granddaughter. She’ll text me to say, ‘I’ve done it in three,’ and I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today.’ It’s very satisfactory when it tells you how brilliant you are,” she said.
Camilla also revealed that she frequently texts with her grandkids.
“It’s very nice getting a text. We learn from very young people and they learn from us, too. That’s the way it’s always been,” she said.
