Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles’ relationship dates back to decades ago when they first met in the mid-1970s. At the time, both of them were single but they didn’t have the opportunity to become a couple because Prince Charles had to serve in the military. Shortly after he left, the future king learned that Camilla already got engaged to Andrew Parker Bowles.
In the 1980s, Prince Charles was introduced to a stunning woman named Princess Diana. And since the latter was adored by the public, the royal family gave Prince Charles and Princess Diana their blessing to tie the knot. However, multiple royal experts revealed that Prince Charles never really got over Camilla Parker Bowles.

Now, new details have emerged regarding the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s relationship timeline. According to reports, Camilla pursued Prince Charles even while he was still married to the Princess of Wales. In fact, the Cornwalls’ affair was looked down upon by Princess Diana’s supporters.
Shortly after Camilla and Andrew divorced in 1994, the former reportedly purchased a property close to where Prince Charles and Princess Diana lived. And just two years later, the Prince and Princess of Wales announced their divorce. At the time, Camilla had easy access to Prince Charles because they were neighbors.
According to Cheat Sheet, Camilla’s property in Wiltshire was just 15 minutes away from where Prince Charles lived. Also known as the Ray Mill House, the property was reportedly purchased for $1 million over two decades ago.
The Ray Mill House boasts a massive swimming pool, a large garden with a river, and stables for the horses. In 2006, Camilla’s daughter, Laura had her wedding reception on the estate.
As of writing, Camilla still owns the property but she and Prince Charles currently reside at Clarence House, which served as the Queen Mother’s home until she died in 2002.

The Duchess of Cornwall replied by saying that Princess Diana already got everything that she wanted – all the men who are in love with her, and her two sons. To which Princess Diana replied that she wants her husband.
Prince Charles Cheated On Princess Diana With Camilla Parker Bowles
In 1992, Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s separation was announced amid reports of the future king’s infidelity. However, the royal family tried to defend Prince Charles at the time by saying that the rumors that he cheated on Princess Diana were not true.
But just two years later, Prince Charles admitted to being unfaithful to his wife. However, the dad of the two said that he only cheated on his wife after he realized that their marriage could no longer be fixed.
A year later, Princess Diana shared shocking details about Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair during her interview with Martin Bashir for Panorama. At the time, she said that there were three of them in her marriage.
Princess Diana’s interview reportedly upset Queen Elizabeth to the point that she urged her and Prince Charles to file for divorce.
“It was an exceptionally difficult decision and one which the Princess of Wales has taken with immense sadness and regret,” Princess Diana’s lawyer, Anthony Julius said (via Cosmopolitan).
Following their divorce, Princess Diana reportedly received a generous settlement from Prince Charles and the royal family. She and her ex-husband also split equal custody of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Unfortunately, Princess Diana never got to enjoy the money that she received, which was estimated at around $22.5 million-plus $600,000 yearly to fund her offices. After all, just one year later, she died in a car crash during her trip to Paris.
Shortly after her death, Prince Charles continued seeing Camilla. But it was only in 2005 that the couple decided to officially tie the knot.
