In his book, Wenner talked about one of Us Weekly’s earliest scoops involving a photo of an actress kissing Justin Timberlake while they were sitting on a surfboard. Fans of Cameron Diaz know that she and Timberlake dated from 2003 to 2007, and they have a kissing photo on the surfboard.
Wenner also described the actress that she was referring to as unpleasant to deal with. He also claimed that the actress told one of the magazine researchers that she hoped the person would get cancer. It’s unclear if Wenner’s claims are accurate.
Cameron Diaz Confronted Justin Timberlake After Seeing Him With Jessica Biel
Shortly after Diaz and Timberlake called it quits, the former once again made headlines after she reportedly approached her ex-boyfriend while he was with Jessica Biel. The trio crossed paths at the Golden Globes after-party, and Diaz and Timberlake reportedly had a serious conversation.
Years later, Timberlake confirmed that incident in his memoir, Cry Me A River.
“Then the Golden Globes came up, and that’s when we planned on seeing each other. We were both still seeing other people, keeping ourselves safe from getting hurt, from really putting ourselves out there. It took a bit for both of us to admit to ourselves that we were really, really into each other,” he wrote (via Page Six).
Timberlake and Biel ended up marrying each other in 2012, and they are still together today. It’s unclear if Timberlake and Diaz are on good terms right now. But the Easy A actress has not responded to Wenner’s allegations.
Jann Wenner Alleged That Angelina Jolie Tipped His Former Magazine About Her Relationship With Brad Pitt
The co-founder of Rolling Stone also made some shocking claims about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in his memoir.
He said that Us Weekly managed to get the first scoop about Pitt and Jolie’s whereabouts in 2005 after Jolie herself tipped the paparazzi where they were spending time together.
“We got the photo, we got the proof. We had the worldwide scoop, the debut of Brangelina. The tipster was Angelina,” he said (via Page Six).
At the time, Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. But their divorce was finalized in the same year. It’s unclear if Pitt and Jolie’s outing happened before the actor separated from Aniston or after.
