It’s BTS’s Suga’s 29th birthday and what better way to celebrate this special day than to reveal some fun facts about the fan-favorite K-pop idol. To kick off the celebrations, he already held a live broadcast with his followers and they all celebrated together.

So, from his favorite soup to his skincare, here is everything you need to know about Suga. Who knows, you may finally learn the secret to his flawless skin here!

The Traditional Birthday Dish

Suga celebrated his birthday by eating his mother’s homemade seaweed soup as a tradition in South Korea. He enjoyed this dish for lunch and it could be all he asked for.

The Unchanging Height

Suga is now 29, so is there still a chance for him to grow tall? Sadly, it looks like he will be stuck in this height forever.

In fact, when a high school student asked him if he would still grow taller, he said he had been at this height since the first year of middle school. He is not insecure about it, though, per Koreaboo.

Always Young at Heart

In Korean age, Suga is already 30, but he still feels 100% young at heart. He said he still feels he is only 22 and has no idea what would be in his 30s feel like.

“I thought time would stop at age 25 or 26, he said. We thought so, too, Suga. We thought so, too.

His Perspective on Being 30

Talking about being in his 30s, he said this age is not old. “I’m not old yet,” he insisted.

For some, turning 30 can signify the end of youth, but for him, it is a great age. “It’s an age where anything is possible,” he continued.

In fact, fans were commending his youthful look during his live broadcast.

His Envy-Inducing Flawless Skin

Everyone wants to know what Suga’s skincare is with his flawless look. The secret? Nothing.

“I say this every time,” he revealed. “I don’t have a skincare routine…I just used a lotion.”

So, many are dying to know what lotion is and where they can buy it.

Not Fond of Taking Pictures

Did you know that Suga is not fond of taking pictures? Yup, it is the reason behind his being inactive on Instagram.

Though he wants to post photos to share with his fans, he does not have many. In fact, despite having his phone for four years, he still has not used much of its 128 GB storage.

The Father of BTS

Like Jin, Suga is one of the oldest BTS members, making him the group's father. In fact, Wattpad noted he is in charge of fixing everything the group breaks.

He changes the light bulbs, fixes the toiler and re-attaches the doorknobs. He, too, is doing a lot of things at the dorm for his fellow K-pop idols.

Nagging Other BTS Members

As a father, he also nags other BTS members, especially when they make a mistake. Among the group, he is the only one who can speak frankly.

So, with his honest and blunt personality, he is not afraid to tell others what he feels and thinks is good.

Suga’s Other Nicknames

Did you know what Suga’s other nickname is? It is Motionless Min. Why?

It is because he does not make a move or do anything when his rest days come. He is also called Mr. Appendix after undergoing appendicitis surgery back in 2013.

The Meaning Behind Suga’s Name

Talking about names, Suga’s real name is Min Yoon Gi. It is too far from Suga, right?

However, a CEO named him Suga because he looks pale and smiles sweetly, making him look like sugar.

“I got the name Suga because my skin is pale, I’m pretty when I smile and because I’m sweet,” he said. “I chose this name because I want to promote sweetly.”
