‘Bright’ Writer Max Landis Accused of Sexual Harassment

Max Landis has had a semi-prolific career, thanks to his screenplay for the acclaimed movie Chronicle, along with his comedic YouTube videos The Death and Return of Superman and Wrestling isn't Wrestling. He recently provided the script for the Netflix film Bright, which received mixed reviews but has been greenlighted for a sequel, with Will Smith contracted to return for it.

However, Bright isn't the only thing that has gotten people's attention. It turns out Landis is the latest Hollywood personality to be accused of sexual harassment.

It started with Anna Akana, a YouTube personality who starred in Landis' Wrestling isn't Wrestling video. Replying to a Tweet from Netflix, she claims that Landis is a "psychopath who sexually abused and assaulted women."

Not long after, Zoe Quinn posted a lengthy thread about Landis' behavior. Quinn claimed that it was an open secret in Hollywood and that she kept various stories of what he did a secret since Landis and his father, famous director John Landis, are powerful figures.

Lindsey Romain also added to the conversation, calling him Lax Mandis to avoid gaining his attention. She claims that stories of his actions aren't hard to find for those looking into it.

Admittedly, this is all Twitter talk and nothing concrete has been revealed. However, given all of the accusations to powerful Hollywood figures, it could only be a matter of time. Bright is now streaming on Netflix.
