David Ayer Passive-Agressively Reacts To A Negative Review For Bright

David Ayer really needed a hit after the critical disaster that was Suicide Squad, and it looked like he had it with Netflix's upcoming Bright. Bad news is, the early reviews for the film are terrible, and Ayer has let out his frustration on David Ehrlich from Indiewire.

Check it out:

Erlich the replied with:

"you're a good man, mr. Ayer. i'll be waiting with fresh eyes for whatever comes next."

To which Ayer answered:

Though Suicide Squad and Bright look to be visually great movies, it seems that critics' issues with Ayer stem from his ability to tell stories. I thought SS ended up bad because of the studio messing with the script and Ayer only given limited time to finish the screenplay, but Bright was written by Max Landis, and it was still critically panned.

Personally, I think everyone should just go and see Bright for themselves instead of listening to what critics say. The critics loved Star Wars: The Last Jedi when they saw it, but based its RT audience score of 54 percent, there's a clear disagreement between the two parties. Hopefully Bright finds an audience when it comes out.

Bright hits Netflix on Dec. 22.
